alrite, here's my review, cat tien is new and she rocks, i saw her on van son and she can perform i believe she will improve a great deal. However, her cd is too normal, all the songs are really popular and this cd sounds like a cheap karaoke cd, if somebody wanna sing popular songs that has already been sang by liek a thousand singers, u better do a good job of it, make it unique and original and make it urs, however, cat tien doesn't have it, her voice is unique though, she's kool

| I have this CD and the demo sounds nothing compared to the real material. She sounds real good for a beginner and I know her next album will sound even better. I've seen her live and she is amazing. Thanks Van Son for discovering such a talent, "Cat Tien"....Whew! |

| Oh, one more comment: She does need to work on her enunciation a bit. Some of the lyrics (especially Dem Yeu Duong and Mua Tren Pho) sound really mushed together. Other than that, her singing is fine. |

Her voice is interesting. I strongly disagree with whoever said she's like Bao Han though. Cat Tien has a while to go yet before she's as good as Bao Han. Cat Tien sounds more like Lynda Trang Dai back in the days when she was still producing decent music.
She's pretty good. Her singing is much stronger/better than the "singing" of other pretty people who have appeared on the music scene later (big thumbs down to Nhu Loan, Jacqueline Thuy Tram, etc). Tinh Da Lang Quen is the best song on this cd. Hopefully she'll sing more slow songs in the future.
Sing Tam Doan and Luong Tung Quang have let, I expect that she'll become the next big star on Van Son videos. |
